Short Version Avid hiker, competitive rower and coach.

Long version
I joined the sport of competitive rowing 10 years ago 2007. Little did I know, the sport would change my life. I learned leadership and motivation, gained athletic ability, and learned how to assess and deal with stressful situations daily.

I attended Clarkson University, receiving a B.S. in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in 2015. Clarkson's proximity to the Adirondack park motivated me to fall in love with the High Peaks and gave me endless opportunity to explore the outdoors. Through my time in the peaks, I have pushed myself to my limits, and have learned more about myself as an outdoorsman. During a difficult hike in late November, another hiking party was helping an injured member. We assisted her down the mountain and assisted the DEC with stabilization and rescue. This evening, walking out to the trailhead well past midnight, I knew I wanted to help more people in this capacity - I signed up for WSAR the next day and attended the academy.
